Tourism Based Market Strategies

  1. Have set hours and stick to them

  2. Advertise all year round

  3. Locals discount or loyalty programs

  4. Regular sales/special days (ie: Taco Tuesday, 10% rack every Sunday, etc)

  5. Use social media. Facebook and Instagram for sure. Add others if they work for your business. 

  6. Host your own events (example: National Coffee Day party)

  7. Participate in Downtown events and fly the Event Flag. Don't have one? Contact us

  8. Team up with other Downtown Businesses to cross promote

  9. Communicate with the DDA board and Marketing Manager about the good, the bad and offer suggestions. 
  10. Be a Downtown Ambassador. Learn about your neighbors so you can answer questions and encourage your patrons to continue their adventure Downtown Ludington. Teamwork!
