GENERAL DOWNTOWN & CITY
- The MDHHS orders changed to allow vaccinated people to unmask. Our businesses are still under MIOSHA orders and those have not been updated as of 11am, May 20th. Expect to see some businesses still requiring masks for all patrons.
- The gate is up on the breakwall, so that it can be closed during inclement weather.
CULTURE & ART
- Mary Case Art Studio & Gallery announced their summer kids class schedule. From June 14th thru September 2nd, almost every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:30 – 11 AM this summer, multi-media art classes are available for kids of all ages. Purchase 10 classes for $150. and use your classes at your convenience. You can share your classes among family and friends! Use your classes like an art camp! - LACA showed their West Michigan High School Band Showcase, which you can now watch on YouTube. The presentation featurs the Ludington High School Band, Manistee High School Band, Manistee Catholic Central High School Band, Mason County Eastern High School Band, Shelby High School Band and the Pentwater High School Band and Jazz Band.
- SS Badger started it’s sailing season this morning!
- Mason County Historical Society posted a new SS Badger info video.
- The library re-opened it’s doors with the following protocols in place. Miss Emily also shared her suggested reading list for children and teens.
RETAIL
- Nautical Yarn held classes for these Woodland Loafers this week. Watch their FB page to see when new classes are posted.
- Mariellen’s Hallmark has pony tail hats in stock
- Purple Monkey is celebrating 28 years in Downtown Ludington this weekend!
- Snyder’s Shoes showed us more of their Keen line this week, including the hybrid sandal.
- My Sister’s Closet put a Dooney & Bourke bag on the floor. And they showed us a bunch of the shoes up for grabs.
- Sweet Peach held a live shopping clearance sale. They will be doing this again next week to reveal their latest mystery shipment items from Pete & Lucy.
- Backstage Hobbies & Games has a limited amount of the new Ravenloft book releases.
- Gordys has new pillows!
- Spindrift has new Terry tops and bottoms in stock.
- Evergreen posted a few new items in stock at the store, including sweet treats and quick meals.
- Todd & Brad Reed hung a 60×90 metal print of their image “Superior” at Jamesport this week. This piece was hung in the US Embassy in the Netherlands and is now back in Ludington.
- Trailhead Bike Shop gave away some Thank You bundles for Armed Forces Day.
- Hegg’s Furniture has Dalyn carpet samples in the showroom. Stop by and take a look.
- Maude’s opened this month. Have you been there?
- Giving Tree has hydrangeas and they are ready to bloom!
- Avenue’s End Mini Mall gave us a few more sneak peaks. They open this weekend.
- Victoria’s Jewelry shared these stackable dragonfly rings.
- Ludington Hobbies posted a video of the Axial Trail Honcho.
- Sunset Bay Antiques opened last weekend.

- Blu Moon featured prime rib stew with cheddar biscuits and they have fresh oysters.
- Jamesport drool-worthy specials this week included a Thai Chicken Wrap and a Baked Sub. Yum!
- Sportsmans has deep fried asparagus.
- Luciano Ristoranti has a Tortellini Toscani filled with smoked chicken and Jen can vouch for it’s deliciousness!
- Ludington Bay’s Badger Blue launches today!
- Table 14 featured dishes last week included a pan seared walleye and a bourbon peach glazed salmon. This peaches & cream stuffed French toast is on their Sunday brunch menu.
- Crown & Cork is putting on the finishing touches and they are planning to open next week.
- Timber’s posted some drool-worthy shots this week, too! Peel & eat shrimp, steak tips, and blackened Mahi with mango.
- Chef John’s has the best bread! And it’s only $3.95 a loaf.
- HumaniTea is featuring an orange creamsicle latte. It’s Italian Orange tea whipped with a touch of orange juice and sweet cream, topped with a dash of vanilla.
- Book Mark has brought back the iced cold-brew.
- Kilwins Ludington featured their caramel corn this week, which is made in-store with their signature copper kettle caramel.
- Cafe 106 has some drool-worthy asparagus selections, including cream of asparagus soup, turkey & asparagus panini, and asparagus benedict.
