CULTURE & MEDIA

  1. LACA hosted a Fall Felt Pillow workshop and there is another one coming up this week. They also had a beautiful night for their last Courtyard Concert with Cheryl Wolfram.
  2. Sandcastles Children’s Museum has been showing us lots of photos from their fall display on the roof! They also hosted the LACA Ukulele group for Movement and Music this week.
  3. The Library shared a Gothic Fiction list. Miss Sue is still posting stories on Tuesdays!
  4. WMOM is hosting their annual Momster Bash at Wildwood this Saturday. They handed out a lot of stickers this week. Do you have yours? You can win $102.70 if they see your sticker!

  4. Northstar Fitness welcomed a new yoga instructor, Raquel. Raquel, born and raised in Northern Michigan, holds two things dear to her heart: community and laughter. She has been teaching yoga since 2016 and has taught over 1000 hours and over 3000 students. Through guided movement, Raquel’s goal is to make you feel at home on your mat and connected to your body. Her flows offer attention to alignment, providing a strong foundation for beginners, and continually grant seasoned practitioners space to play with new transitions. No matter where you are in your practice, Raquel will offer support, guidance, and plenty of opportunities to laugh throughout your experience. You will see her subbing this week and then on Tuesday nights for Hot Power Yoga at 5:30pm.
