Q. Do I have to wear my mask in the restaurant if I am only going in to purchase a LOSD beverage?
A. Yes. Our restaurants are still required by the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services to enforce the mask order or risk losing their service license. They have had a hard enough year, please be kind and don’t make this a big deal!
Q. Can I bring my own alcohol to drink in the social district?
A. No. Alcohol consumed in the social district must be purchased from one of the bars with a social district permit. See list above.
Q. What time does the district open?
A. Permitted bars are allowed to start selling LOSD beverages when they open. Check establishment websites or Facebook pages for up to date hours. The district closes at midnight.
Q. Where can I drink my LOSD beverage?
A. See the map for the boundary. You may consume alcohol on the sidewalks, but not in the street (state law) unless the street is closed to traffic. You’ll notice several alley and pocket parks are within the boundaries.

Q. Can I take my LOSD beverage into another business?
A. State Law does not allow taking an alcoholic beverage purchased at one establishment into another establishment for consumption, so please help us out by not attempting to do this. Also, please respect the merchants that do not allow food or beverages in their stores.
Q. Have a question that isn’t on the list?
A. Contact us! We’d love to help!
