Love Ludington Street Party

The Love Ludington Street Party will celebrate our town from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, June 7. This event will be full of energy with live music, kids’ games, bounce houses, food, drinks and more, held in Downtown Ludington streets that will be closed to traffic. (portions of Ludington Avenue and James Street)

Headlining the entertainment stage will be Onager, West Michigan’s premier live cover band, who will provide an awesome mix of music genres at Legacy Plaza.

Join us for a Historic Homes Tour, featuring historic bed and breakfasts and meet the people who made Mason County. Tickets are $25 per person. Tours meet at the Mason County Research Center, 130 E. Ludington Ave., at 10 a.m. and at 11:30 a.m.


NEAL FAMILY (HOUSE OF FLAVORS) LEGACY EXHIBIT UNVEILING | 2-4 PM | LEGACY HALL, MASON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
A new exhibit celebrating Park Dairy’s history and the Neal family legacy will be unveiled, featuring the family’s contributions to Ludington – most notably the iconic House of Flavors. The Neal Family Legacy Exhibit will highlight the remarkable journey of the Neal family, from the founding of Park Dairy to becoming a staple of Ludington’s cultural and economic landscape. Historical presentation – 2-3:15 p.m.; Ice cream social & tours – 3:15-4 p.m. Free and open to the public. Location: 130 E. Ludington Ave.

PORT OF LUDINGTON MUSEUM GUIDED TOUR | 2 PM & 4 PM
Explore Ludington’s maritime history with a guided tour! Discover fascinating stories of sailors, ships, and the town’s connection to Lake Michigan. Location: 217 S. Lakeshore Dr. ($20 per person)

BLESSING OF THE  BOATS | SATURDAY, JUNE 8 | 4-9:30 PM | WEST END, 950 W. LUDINGTON AVENUE

Blessing of the Boats (boat keys), entertainment tent, raffle, fundraiser, food truck vendors and beer sales. Sponsored by Safe Harbor Credit Union and Ludington Bay Brewing Company.

100% of all VIP sales will support Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association.

A dedication of the North Breakwater Light will occur at 4 p.m. with state and local dignitaries under the Blessing of the Boats tent.  


LASER LIGHT SHOW FOR 100th Anniversary North Breakwater Light | Saturday, June 8 | 10PM | WEST END

This is a free, 20-minute light show at dusk (around 10 p.m.) that will project lasers onto the lighthouse. It will be best viewed from Stearns Park Beach or West End.


BEACH CLEANUP | SUNDAY, JUNE 9 | 9-10 AM | WEST END

All volunteers are welcome for this special event to sweep the beach following the weekend’s festivities! Meet at the West End.  

This is a collaboration of Ludington Meijer, AFFEW, SPLKA, West Shore Bank, and anyone from the community who would like to help. Volunteers who come out will receive a free pass to tour the Breakwater Lighthouse during the 2024 season.
