Join the festivities in Downtown Ludington when the community bands together for the celebratory 70th Annual Ludington Area Jaycees Freedom Festival featuring a grand parade and fireworks.
- Events begin with a Children & Pet Parade on July 3. Meet at Waterfront Park for this fun, casual event which begins at 5:30 p.m. All children and pets are welcome!
- A 1-Mile Dash will take place preceding the grand parade at 1:35 p.m. on July 4. Runners will race down Ludington Avenue from Washington to Lakeshore. REGISTER
- The grand parade steps off at 2 p.m. on Ludington Avenue at Madison Street, proceeding west to the lake. This is a popular event attended by thousands of residents and visitors alike. Live music, floats, animals and more! PARADE REGISTRATION
- Freecom Festival fireworks over Lake Michigan begin at dusk and are viewable from any local beach.

- Live in the Plaza, July 5, featuring the songs of Workin on Famous, at Legacy Plaza (free)
- West Shore Art Fair in Rotary Park, July 6-7. This annual event features 90 jury-selected fine artists across a variety of media, including: clay, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, wood and more. It will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
